A single phase solid state motor relay is an electronic switching device that controls the starting winding of a single phase induction motor. It automatically disconnects the start capacitor once the motor reaches running speed, replacing unreliable mechanical centrifugal switches.
Vektron VK1, VK2 and VK4 relays are suitable for all single phase induction motors ranging from 0.1 Kw to 2.5 Kw, including motors used in farming, poultry, pool pumps, compressors, and industrial polishers.
Vektron products are manufactured in Jeffreys Bay, Eastern Cape, South Africa. All motor relays are individually tested for accuracy, consistency and reliability before leaving the factory.
The VK1 suits motors from 0.5 Kw to 1.5 Kw at 16 AMP. The VK2 handles 1.5 Kw to 2.2 Kw at 30 AMP. The VK4 is a solid state relay rated at 25 AMP covering 0.5 Kw to 2.2 Kw with automatic cut-out sensing.
